I went back and forth on these for a while. One day they were in. The next day, they were out of the project. One issue was all that yellow paint. Anyone who has ever customized knows that yellow is the worst color to work with. It requires several coats and rarely comes out vibrant and smooth. The other issue was that the original 1993 Battle Corps version of the Alley-Viper had an all-new helmet and shield that are pretty iconic to the character.
Finding 3 Marvel AIM Troopers in my fodder box resolved the first issue. These were already yellow. Although some of the sculpt details did not match up perfectly, the bodies worked well once they were equipped with the right vest and helmet. Seeing how good they looked all geared–up took care of the second issue, sort of. I’m still hoping to grab some vintage helmets and shields in the future, but I like how these came out for now.
