30th Anniversary Bullhorn

I'm a child of the '80s. I was 6 when ARAH showed up on store shelves in 1982. By 1990, when the original Bullhorn figure was released, I was in my early teens and not thinking of Joes anymore. The original figure was pretty solid. Nice muted military colors, an interesting backstory, a new specialty (Intervention Specialist) and a great compliment of accessories made Bullhorn a great addition to any collection.

Unfortunately, Hasbro hasn't revisited this character since 1990. The only other version of the character was released by the Gi Joe Collector's Club in 2008 for a Convention exclusive. This is when I took notice of the character and rediscovered the original.

He has been on my to-do list of customs for a year or two now. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the proper combination of parts to make him cool enough to get beyond the assembly stage. A couple of weeks ago, I finally slapped together the right recipe. Add a litle paint (quite a bit actually) and here is my ''30th Anniversary'' version of Bullhorn.

Enjoy!
